Rise and Shine: A Manifesto for Alpha Mothers

When we say we don’t believe in a higher force we come from and return to, it is not God we end up questioning—it is our own human potential.

Perhaps religions, as institutions shaped by financial and political interests, have done more to damage the idea of God than to protect it. What remains suspect is not spirituality itself, but the distorted, fear-driven narratives built around it.

Still, some rare sentences from ancient texts feel undeniably true. One of them suggests that humans were created in the image of God—or what we might more neutrally call a Higher Force, an energy field, a source of creation. If so, then each individual carries a fragment of that source within them. A piece of the same soul.
We do not merely resemble God—we participate in it.

Seen this way, life may be less a test and more a simulation of creation itself. And within creation, there is no pure evil—only construction and destruction, both essential, both raw. This duality exists in the source, and therefore in us. What we label as “evil” is not external; it is a potential within every human being, just as goodness is.

This perspective matters now more than ever.

Millennials grew up surrounded by artificiality—manufactured beliefs, curated identities, inherited dogmas. Religion, for many of us, felt like a relic of Gen X: rigid, compromised, and disconnected. We learned to avoid these conversations altogether.

But Gen Alpha is different.

They are being raised by us—and they are asking questions. Deep ones. Questions about identity, meaning, and self-worth. Their emotional and mental well-being depends on how they understand who they are.

If a child grows up believing they are small, flawed, and powerless, they will live accordingly.
But if they grow up knowing they are a fragment of creation itself, capable of shaping reality, then fear loses its grip. Illusions lose their power. Perception stops being magic—and becomes choice.

That is freedom.
More freedom than we ever had.

Millennial values already shape Gen Alpha’s aesthetics, habits, and consumption. Now they must also shape their inner narrative.

So here’s to the Alpha mothers—the ones raising humans who know they are both light and shadow, creation and destruction, responsibility and possibility.
